In front of them, artists and managers presented their projects and talents looking for business opportunities in and out of the country.
More than 800 artists responded to the calling, from which only 20 were lucky enough to play live in front of the more than 120 buyers attending the Showcases organized by BOMM, who would have a clearer view of the artists looking for opportunities in the different markets.
Maria Cristina Plata, world music artist, was chosen to perform at the Showcases with her latest release, Todas las flores (All the Flowers), a production that gathers the best of Latin American sounds, with lyrics and compositions of women from Santander, Colombia. The show was performed before a specialized crowd of more than a thousand people including artists, managers, bookers, curators among other business conference participants, captivating the audience and the finely tuned ear of the RTVC judges, who saw in Maria Cristina and her show, the artistic and professional quality that earned her the first place as Best Showcase at the Bogota Music market 2015.
Maria Cristina said that she returns to Bucaramanga feeling happy after all her accomplishments and with a bag full of best wishes, great experiences, experiences, important contacts and a lot of energy to keep working on the projects for which new business possibilities will allow us to see her soon again, like the one she had at the BOMM Festival. Upon receiving the award, Maria Cristina emphasized her immense gratitude towards Radio Nacional de Colombia, RCTV, for the support they have given not only to her but also to other fellow folk artists and non-commercial performers that find in their microphones the broadcasting they need to see their careers grow.
